Capital One law suits
This video produced by the news team of WPRI TV in Providence, RI. The reporter tells the story about how much money the state is making off of lawsuits filed by Capital One Bank. The bald headed guy who shows up briefly shortly is attorney Robert E. Johnson of the law firm of Howard Lee Schiff & Company. What the reporter didn't know about is that Johnson has gained quite a bit of fame and nationwide attention as a result of using false and fraudulent affidavits in support of his lawsuits. The way his racket works is that he gets his Capital One cases from a company known as TSYS of Georgia. TSYS owns a company known as NAN or National Attorney Network whose job is to find attorneys nationwide to sue on delinquent Capital One credit card cases. To aid in their endeavors NAN provides the attorneys with false and fraudulent affidavits prepared and notarized by NAN employees. Johnson has been sued in federal court for doing that and lost the case.
That isn't the worst of it. The amazing truth is that most affidavits filed in most courts across the nation are also false and misleading. The trail is always the same. In most cases the poor defendant has no clue that the affidavits used against him are false and misleading. He has no way to find out whether the affidavit is false or not simply because he don't have the knowledge necessary to get to the bottom of it. But in reality, finding out is easy. The first thing to look for is where is the notary located? What state? Look on the notary stamp to find out. It will tell you right on the notary stamp or seal. Then where is the credit card bank located? If they are not located in the same state then you have your first cause of suspicion that the affidavit might be a fake. So call up the Secretary of State where the notary is from and see if the notary is actually a registered notary or someone who has just gone out and bought a notary stamp from somewhere. It is rare that the notary is not a real notary but it has happened.
